Located at the mouth of the Hunter River, a two hour drive from Sydney, Newcastle is one of only two courses in NSW given international recognition by the panel of experts rating the World’s Top 100 Courses. It has recently been rated “International Honourable Mention”, meaning that it has won sufficient points to be worthy of inclusion in the Top 100 courses outside the USA. As only a handful of the World Panel have played in Newcastle, it speaks volumes that those who have played this hidden gem rate it so highly.

The Vintage:
The Vintage Golf Club features an 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course which has been ranked among the best in Australia. The 18-hole course measures 6,310 metres with a par of 71 and is the only Greg Norman designed public access golf course in the Hunter Valley

Cypress Lakes:
Cypress Lakes 18-hole championship golf course is ranked among the top resort courses in Australia. Unveiled in 1992, it was designed by Steve Smyers of Florida. The front nine is tree lined with sloping fairways and the back nine is a links style layout. Not to mention, over 60 huge bunkers and dramatically shaped and elevated greens. As well as each tee and green having stunning panoramic views of the valleys famous vineyards and surrounding mountains.

Hunter Valley Golf Club:
18 hole championship course. The fully accredited course measures 5170 metres in length and is suited to golfers of all levels. The impressive layout of the course features a variety of challenging holes that will exceed expectations.

Pacific Dunes:
Pacific Dunes combines two distinct nine-hole loops to create a spectacular 18 hole championship layout. The opening nine holes wind through a native woodland setting, perfectly complementing the stunning wetland back nine. Located in the picturesque Port Stephens region of NSW lower North Coast, the course is the centrepiece of the $180 million Pacific Dunes Golf & Residential Community.
